A way of living where occupying (being, staying, covering), taking care (perfect conditions of health), exchanging (products, services, emotions, stories), producing (work, projects), meeting (sharing a city, a society, a humanity) and enjoying (a city that could be playfull)  are the attraction vectors were all the kinds of activities developed in the Micro-city are held. That way of living also has some variables that determine, orientate, choose, decide and take position to locate it and re-think how we take up the city (dynamic or static), for who is it (personal or collective), for how much (in this project the opinion about money is clear), for how long (hours, minutes, days), why (free or imposed), where (inside or outside a building) and, to finish, if it happens in a material or immaterial way.

The Time-MicroCity is 90% to look around, 90% to be contextualized:

–A context of widespread crisis, not only economic, but ideological, as an anti-system of hypothesis.

–A digitized world context where in 2015 the network will transmit every 5 minutes the equivalent of all the films made in the history, and in which architecture might be able to adjust to this reality.

–In a context of a world where there are more trees planted than wild, it is essential that our discipline reflect on their processes and achievements.

The microcity Time is not a system of solutions and problems, it is a system to critically consider all systems of solutions and problems.

–A programmatic system where only is cooked if someone will eat and ties it with its context (city).

–A construction system that allows de-modularization of the elements of the project.

–A structural system that works the same way with a minimum density or a high one.

The programmatic locations are defined by its infrastructural conditions: by the amount of light that has a determined point (natural and artificial), by the proximity to an electrical connection, by the distance to a water supply point, by the free height in that point, by the thermal conditioning in a specific zone, by the atmospheric pressure, by the inclination, by the orientation, by the distance to an emergency exit, by the humidity, etc. The spaces are measured by conditions, are distributed by conditions, are divided by conditions. You only have to read densities, conditions.

The program of the Time Micro-city is developed as a ribbon/pipe that has two sides, one interior that accommodates the parts that need more thermal control and one exterior that developes a big continuous public space. This spaces are developed in section as big spiral ribbon that goes up and down and connects the surrounding public space (bulevar de Santa Barbara) and multiplies it both in surface and in possibilities and program. It is a ribbon that varies in width according to the program that it is accommodating. As more surface is needed, the ribbon gets thicker and it deforms and adapts both in floor plant and section depending in the program it is accommodating.

What?

–we liberate public space

–we create a large public square and a green continuous belt

–we reduce its environmental impact as it is never a finished work and it is mounted parts

–we use resources in a comprehensive manner not only aimed to construction but globally

–we exploit the walking condition of the city

–instead of a segregated city by uses, we pose a hyperdense city where everyone chooses its route

–that being in constant crisis supports continuous variations adjusting to them

–that the actual construction of the time bank is the subject of the time bank

–which provides the infrastructure needed by the district at all times

–which is about letting the air to pass through, not blocking it

–it is about being fluid not static
